Henry Flowers
The play follows Henry Flowers, a young man who, after abandoning his religious upbringing, seeks to fill the resulting existential void through his art. As a sculptor, hereplaces traditional religious dogmas with a faith in artistry. As Henry tries to capture the sacred beauty he once saw in religious paintings, he realizes his relationship with art starts to mirror his former faith. However, lacking the certainty of religion, it raises more questions than answers.
Audiences will encounter a layered narrative where performance, light, and music intertwine to explore faith’s complexity, inviting reflection on a topic that deeply shapes modern society. The play becomes a shared space for rethinking faith and unity, ultimately bridging personal introspection with universal themes. Viewers may feel encouraged to examine their own sources of meaning, challenging the boundaries between faith, art, and self-discovery. We aim to spark a debate on faith’s evolving role in a polarized world, highlighting the shared ground we may all stand on.
